History

The Department of Computer and Communication Engineering of Ming Chuan University was established in 1999. The Institute of Computer and Communication Engineering was established in 2002. The Graduate Institute merged with the Department of Computer and Communication as a single teaching and research unit in 2010. The Department enrolls two classes of students each year, 56 in each class; the Master's class enrolls 14 students each year. The development direction of the department focuses on the integration of theory and practice. It aims to cultivate the integrated professionals of intelligent communication and interactive technology, attaches importance to theoretical education and practical training, and cultivates students' creative and problem-solving skills and teamwork spirit. Through the implementation of projects to cultivate students' practical ability, attach importance to creative competition, team training, and industry-academia cooperation to connect with the industry, and encourage students to participate in domestic and international competitions.

Features

Undergraduate: With the aim of cultivating intelligent network communication and interactive media technology integration professionals, the department attaches importance to theoretical education and practical training, and cultivates students' creative and problem-solving skills and teamwork spirit. The department encourages and tutors students to obtain international professional licenses to enhance their employment competitiveness.

Graduate: The department aims to cultivate talents in computer and communication technology. By strengthening theoretical education and professional skills, the department develops students with innovative and independent research and development capabilities, as well as international perspectives to serve the country and society.
